Kony 2012
So I’ve stopped blogging for a while, but I think it’s about time I get back into it.
I’ve been reading up on all the news with the Kony 2012 campaign/movement… what ever you want to call it. I think it is so beautiful! I have never seen such a large number of people come together for a humanitarian cause like this before. It is beautiful to see people from an assortment of cultures, religions, ages, schools, regions, ect… trying to get a message across.
I usually do not put too much time and thought to organizations like this, I struggle to find something that I consider pure in intention. (Although I’ll admit I havn’t been looking very hard) However, after watching the Kony 2012 video, and hearing about “Cover The Night” I got really excited and wanted to be apart of it. I was sitting thinking about how I could get plugged in to Cover The Night Cleveland TN, but I could not find anything about it on line. “Oh, well.” I thought. Then it hit me… Why am I waiting for someone to start this event and invite me? Why don’t I put on my big girl pants and do it myself.
So I did.

this song has been on repeat all weekend. i hope it strikes something in you like it did in me.
In the nursery
Where ocean meets the shore
In the place where we could meet
You will be all alone
So as we angle to the new
Tow on a thawing frontier
Never a woman on the shore
A witness or a love
I looked out for you
But looking never meant less
I could feel that you were gone
And I despondent turned and left
I reached out for you
But reaching never meant less
I could feel that you were gone
And I despondent turned and left
We looked out across the long horizon
We looked in each other’s eyes
And realized that we are only one
Through a moment we could glimpse an infinity
And through an infinity we could see
All in all is all we are -

I just want to surround myself with kitties
like all shapes and sizes and ages. and hair lengths. i just want them everywhere.
the perfect cat group would:
clean their own litter box or use the toilet
love me all the time
make me presents, like little crocheted booties or cheese cake
know when ive had enough of them and flee untill im ready for more lovin
and not cause me to die (alergies)
i cant wait to live with Christy Lynch and Leopold again! i wish leighla could come. with her little stupid head and dumbness. oh how i love her. (the cat… although i do love the person too)

We rolled stories and drank the past, and it felt good. By the end of the night, we were sprawled on the grass, toasting to stars we could not see but knew were there, thinking that life was beautiful even if some things hurt.
